I need to buy a computer and a laser printer, primarily for work.
I work from home and do not need a laptop.
I use the Internet, Excel and Word for work and that’s about all.
I do not store alot of information but I do need 20Gb or more for photos and music.
I currently use an iMac and love it but it is being reclaimed by its owner at the end of October.
The new computer and printer need to be as cheap as possible.

What hardware best suits my needs and which is the best Broadband provider in the London area?

Thanks in advance.

I have a number of about computers. I know enough about computers to use them, but with all the recent changes and upgrades, I’m hoping someone can tell me a little more. I am looking for a that is a good at a reasonable price (within the $500-$1200 range) that is compatible with the accessories sold at Wal-Mart (locally, Wal-Mart is the closest place to shop in my area, the nearest is two hours away). I would also like to know how much RAM and I should be looking for in a computer where I would be installing a to edit home movies and , as well as several and , but I don’t need any since I don’t use my computers for games. I would like a computer that has a good processor as well. Any help on just some basics of the would be appreciated.

I have a macbook 60 gb. Currently I have less than a 1gb of free space and I’m worried about the computer acting funny. I’m planning on upgrading my hard drive, but it costs a lot so I have to wait, but till then I’m worried about what will happen to my computer. PS: I know I can for extra memory, but everything on my computer at this moment is valuable.

I’m looking to buy a new hard drive, and I found one at a good price and with double the capacity I have now. My question is, I am not sure if its interface (SATA 3.0Gb/s) is compatible with my computer. How do I find that out. Do I actually have to open up my computer?
Or is there some sort of utility I can download that can analyze my computer?

When I click on “My Computer”, the little flashlight goes back and forth searching and searching and finally after several minutes shows my drives. Sometimes, even then, it does not recognize portable storage devices connected to a USB port. This problem began several months ago, but before that, as soon as I double-clicked “My Computer”, the drive icons would show up. My computer is about 3 years old.
